Velo - The Kinesis Tripster AT Plus is a Massive Clearance Gravel Bike

This week, Kinesis unveiled the all-new Tripster AT Plus at the CORE Bike Show in Towcester, England. The aluminum frame brings clearance for proper mountain bike tires (29″ x 2.4″) to a drop bar geometry for all-terrain riding.

Kinesis Tripster AT Plus: Need-To-Know

  • Tire Clearance: 700c x 60mm (29″ x 2.35″)
  • Frame Material: 6069 aluminum tubeset with tapered machined head tube
  • Stealth Routing for a Dropper Seat Post
  • Fork: Kinesis All-Terrain Carbon (540 grams, claimed)
  • Size Options: 48cm, 50cm, 52cm, 54cm, 56cm, 58cm and 60cm
  • Claimed weight: 54cm (1.79 kg)
  • Frame Price: £900

Kinesis UK brings a more affordable drop bar frame to the market with the Tripster AT Plus. Essentially an evolution of the Tripster AT and Titanium ATR. While they offer up clearance for 700c x 45mm, the new Plus frameset is boosted to 700c x 60mm, with a more capable geometry and bigger tire clearance to take on rougher, more adventurous gravel routes.

In line with its intended higher volume tires, Kinesis has lowered the BB a touch as compared to the AT and ATR, and given the AT Plus a more sloping top tube for improved standover.
