Kinesis Bicycles Ambassador - Martin Gibbs

Martin re-discovered a passion for cycling only recently and through hard work on the bike is a shining example of how you can really enjoy many sides of the sport. Arguably, there's a strong chance that Martin is the quickest rider on our ambassador team. Training for his first 100 sportive just a few years ago, he would not have thought that an invitation from local racing team ASL would lead to him trying his hand at road racing in 2017 – and he hasn't looked back.

Ride to work, work to ride

Martin also works for our parent company, Upgrade Bikes, as Warranty, Service & Technical Manager – and his extensive product knowledge and passion for cycling always shines through. He commutes by bike (and he has a few to choose from...) to our headquarters regularly and likes to mix road and gravel routes.

From the Alps to the local crit

The year ahead will be Martin’s second year road and crit racing with Team ASL, and now as a 3rd Category rider he is hoping to get some podium places. Some French Alps training camps have helped towards his race calendar which include a few Belgium races, The London Nocturne, Duo Normande and his first season pushing hard on some local Time Trials.
